Fender Stratocaster: Vintage 1978-1981
May 28th, 2009 • Music
I had the pleasure of re-stringing and adjusting the bridge on a beautiful vintage Fender Stratocaster this weekend!
The serial on it was S915137 – A quick search reveals the guitar is over 30 years old! Dated between 1978 and 1981. Very nice indeed. The owner had stripped the lacquer off which gave the instrument a whole new tone, whilst I’m not brave enough to do this to my own strat (I choose rather to snap the truss rod, but thats a whole different story, oops!), It’d be cool for anyone who wants a more open sound from their Strat.
Have a look at these pictures of it!

To be fair that Strat looks a beaut. -
Yeah it was a seriously nice bit of gear!

Strats are for girls. Real men play guitars made of stones and rage.
